Electoral Tribunal attacksmalicious comments from a gladiator who has not yet hit the sand.

PANAMA’S Electoral Tribunal (TE) has responded with force to “malicious” remarks by President Ricardo Martinelli and a henchman over the upcoming election and the process of vote counting.

Martinelli followed his spokesman Luis Eduardo Camacho, Secretary of State Communications casting aspersions on the voting process by an IT company with alleged links to an opposition party.

The TE responded with full page advertisements in Panama’s daily newspapers, denying the insinuations, and detailing how the process works.
The Tribunal’s president Erasmo Pinilla, was even more outspoken describing the comments as “malicious" from someone who cannot live in an egalitarian democracy beyond his understanding … who hopes to impose his will over the rules."
" How embarrassing that the warrior goes to the arena and objects before the start, to justify a possible adverse outcome ," It's sad the spectacle of tendentious claims by a pushed over gladiator, that he thinks he will lose before hitting the sand ," he said .
On Monday, Martinelli said the security company that works with the TE does not give a" good feeling” and insinuated that the results could be tampered with.
