Police foil Paitilla armed robbery

A MID-MORNING armed robbery in Paitilla, near the Union Club was foiled by police on Wednesday March 12. Three people are under arrest.

The robbers, including a minor, entered a residence intending to take cell phones and valuables, between 9:30 am and 10:00 am. 

Employees in the house contacted the National Police, who arrived and sealed off the area.
The suspects fired at the police officers, but eventually they surrendered and were arrested and charged. A .38 caliber pistol was found. The investigation continues.
