Boquete hunt for missing women extended
DUTCH POLICE and search experts are working with Panama’s Civil Protection Service (SINAPROC) and the National Police, as the search for two missing young Dutch women enters its third week.
Lisanne Froon, 22 , and Kris Kromers, 21, left their hostel in Boquete on April 1 to go for a hike, and have not been seen since.
SINAPROC Director General, Arturo Alvarado, said Monday, April 14 that he has made every effort using technology, tracker dogs and helicopters and following national and international protocols, but nothing has been found .
In the second stage of the search close communication will be maintained between the offices of SINAPROC in Volcan, Boquete and Panama , as well as with tour guides who daily travel these regions .
The Dutch ambassador in Panama , Wiebe de Boer, said the National Police in conjunction with the Police in the Netherlands and a Dutch expert will work closely in the investigation of this case.
