More flooding, trees down in Panama City
AFTERNOON rain in Panama City caused flooding in streets, fallen trees and inundation of some homes on Tuesday, May 20.
It was the second successive day with the city affected by flooding on key roadways, but this time the heavy downpour was accompanied by wind and a lightning storm which hit all the metropolitan area.
Flooded roads were reported in the districts of of Bella Vista, San Francisco, Rio Abajo, Parque Lefevre, Pueblo Nuevo and Calidonia.
Drivers reported special difficulties in traveling the Corridor Sur corridor and Via Espana.
