Traffic accident closes Bridge of Americas

AN ACCIDENT on the Bridge of the Americas soon after 8 am on  Sunday, January 18, injured two people and caused massive traffic jams, as all lanes were closed.for over an hour.

Police rushed to the scene and firemen arrived to handle the oil spill from two colliding sedans.
A lane to the interior was opened at 9.40 am and the road leading to Panama city was reopened soon after, In the meantime scores of bus passengers disembarked to walk across the bridge to find alternate transport.
