21 homicides in first 15 days of year

THE HOMICIDE rate in Panama in the first 15 days of 2015 fell, but there were still 21 violent deaths mostly by shooting..
The first victim of the year was 29 year old woman who was shot and killed by an unidentified person while getting into a taxi with her partner in Alcalde Diaz.

The second week of January was the bloodiest. With 14 crimes nationwide.
Criminologist Tirso Castillo said that December and January are the months that reflect an increase in crimes. This occurs due to anxiety for the holidays and lack of control.
