Start work order for Metro Line 2

THE START WORK order went out on Tuesday, September 8   to the contactors who won the Metro Line 2 contract.  Metro Director Roberto Roy delivered the order to Norberto Odebrecht of Brazil and FCC Construction of Spain

The $1.8 billion project will begin in October and is to be delivered in May 2019, election month,

It is expected to create 4,000 jobs.

The line will be 21 kilometers  long awith 16 stations between San Miguelito and Tocumen. It will have the capacity to transport 16,000 passengers an hour initially, and up to 40,000 passengers an hour once it is fully operational.
