Supermarket gun rampage: one dead, two wounded

A POPULAR   store owner was shot and killed and two of his assistants  hospitalized with bullet wounds during a robbery attempt on Friday night, September 19

The victim was  Jorge Espinoza Nodier 52, well-known in the San Matero neighborhood of David, Chiriqui.

Witnesses say   three gun toting  men entered the Nodier supermarket at 10.30 pm  and  told customers to back off  while one  with a gun went to the cash register. Two Two assistants tackled the intruders. One was shot in the abdomen, the other was hit in the ankle.

Neighbors  described the dead man as popular and friendly
