‘Best’ low-cost airline has  new CEO, expansion plans

Wingo airline  listed for the second consecutive year as the best low-cost airline in Latin America, according to KAYAK travelers, has  named Carolina Cortizo Colón as the new CEO who will head major expansion plans in 2020

According to Wingo, they have maintained an indicator of 99.9 percent itinerary compliance and achieving positive financial performance.

“Wingo is the low-cost airline with the highest international recognition in the region and becoming part of the team that has made this possible makes me proud,” said  Cortizo Colón added  that, “our main objective will continue to give millions of travelers the opportunity to fly with low prices, punctuality, and good vibes. In addition, we will take Wingo to the next level with an important expansion plan, in terms of routes and fleet, in 2020. ”

Carolina Cortizo Colón, daughter  President Lorentio Cortizo, is an industrial and systems engineer from Virginia Tech and has a Master of Science in Systems Engineering Administration from the same university.
