$15.9 million education center for Pacora
A $15.9 MILLION education center for Pacora got the go-ahead from President Juan Carlos Varela on Monday December 7.
The center is expected to benefit more than 2,000 students.
“This school seeks to satisfy the demand for educational facilities in the area, avoiding the need for students to attend classes far from their homes,” Varela said.
According to Varela, the campus will be inaugurated in March 2018.
He acknowledged that there are criticisms around the project due to its extension of the school day.
However, he announced that in January he will convene a dialogue about the future of the education system.
The Pacora project is being financed by the Development Bank of Latin America Latin and will be executed by the company Cusa, reports La Prensa.
