Chamber of Commerce joins Interpol campaign

PANAMA’S  Chamber of Commerce, and the national police have  signed onto an Interpol initiative  to increase awareness  of organized crime.

“Turn Back Crime” is a campaign of global awareness about the dangers of organized crime and the impact that it has among its citizens that was launched by Interpol.

Another objective is to influence the behavior of consumers, promote good business practices and influence the decisions of the responsible politicians.

“The Chamber of Commerce is concerned about illicit trade and tax evasion, and will implement actions that drive honest business owners to support the work of the authorities to enforce the laws,” said Chamber President Jorge Garcia Icaza.
