Tougher quarantine rules as covid-19 cases pass 1,000
Tough new quarantine measures will come into effect across the country as cases of coronavirus climbed to 1,075 with 27 deaths said The Minister of Public Security, Juan Pino, on Monday, March 30.
As of Wednesday, April 1, an absolute quarantine will take effect in the country, with the aim of reducing the number of people on the streets.
According to Pino, the new measures, so that Panamanians can go out looking for food Will be:
Women can go out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays;
Men can go out on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
On Sundays nobody leaves home.
The departure times will continue to be those currently stipulated, by following the last digit of the ID or passport number.
People over 60 years old, will be able to continue leaving from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm respecting only the assigned days for men and women
