Cosy Ochy deals revealed by Martinelli lawyer

DAVID OCHY, owner of Transcaribe Trading (TCT), whose trucks once blocked delivery of the La Prensa newspaper  is back in the media spotlight.

On October 9, 2012 he stated that he had no links to The reigning government  of Ricardo Martinelli, in response to investigative reports by La Prensa  revealing that his  company was one of those which won  direct contracts and tenders for works during  the Martinelli administration.
He later sent a fleet of trucks to block the entrances to La Prensa to sop delivery of the newspaper.

Lawyer Evelyn Vargas Reynaga, who created partnerships for the Martinelli family, during questioning on March 6 before the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office investigating  alleged bribes paid by Odebrecht through Swiss banks, revealed that during Martinelli’s presidential term (2009- 2014), his son, Luis Enrique Martinelli

Linares, asked TCT to construct a hangar in Albrook for the Yellow Wing company.

Vargas Reynaga said  that TCT finished building the hangar, after which he built a second hanger  under the Yellow Wing agreement. One was for Ochy  and the other for the Martinelli family.

Both were  under the name of The Yellow Wing company,” she said.

The company TCT obtained contracts for more than $400 million in the Martinelli government for the construction of public infrastructures, with reports of major over budget expenditures.
