160 Panama kids for  surgery at Shriners hospital

At least 650 Panamanamanian children attended   the free orthopedic care clinic at the Hospital Del Nino sponsored by the Abou Saad Shriners Panama Foundation, February 18-21.

All the children who attended were evaluated by medical specialists from the Shreveport Hospital in Louisiana, United States, and some 160 were selected and will be operated on in the US  care center.

The Abou Saad Shriners Panama Foundation, together with the Office of the First Lady, will assume all travel expenses for the children and a companion, as they are people with low income.

During the clinic cases of all kinds were treated, including spina bifida, hand, and hip disorders, bone diseases) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis, among others.
