633 new covid-19 cases,nine deaths

Panama reported 633 new cases of covid-19  on Sunday,  October 4 for a cumulative total of 115,286

.To date, 5,249 tests were applied, for a positivity percentage of 12.1% There were nine new deaths raising the total to  2,423 with  a fatality  rate of 2.1%

.There are  21,054 active cases with  843 and of them hospitalized including 110 in ICU.

 Health Minister, Luis Francisco Sucre, reiterated the call to respect the biosecurity measures and the protocols in place to combat covid-19.

He stressed that the health authorities will continue making tours of restaurants and shops that have opened their doors to verify that they are complying with the measures established to preserve the health of the population.
