Heavy rain alert warns of landslides, floods
The passage of a cold front over Panama is creating a bad weather system in Central America and the Antilles says the Directorate of Hydrometeorology of Etesa, which will last from Thursday, December 19 to Saturday 21.
The front will cause heavy rains on the country, in addition to winds in the Panamanian Caribbean, with sustained speeds of 15 to 30 kilometers per hour and gusts of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour.
A spokesman warned that due to the rainfall that the national territory will receive, soil saturation is expected, which would, in turn, produce possible landslides and floods.
