Plan to revitalize Portobelo nears completion

The Territorial Planning Plan for  Portobelo, an historic landmark in the province of Colón is  80%, complete and close to entering the public consultation phase, in January.

José Batista, Deputy Minister of Territorial Planning of the Ministry of Housing, said that after the consultation they will proceed to the preparation of the document that will be published in the Official Gazette, so that it becomes the guiding instrument for the urban development of Portobelo.

Because of its historical, cultural and environmental heritage, Portobelo requires certain restrictions so that its  identities and values ​​are not affected.
