The National Police, (PN) and the Public Ministry, carried out at least five raids aimed at child pornography in Panama City and Arraiján (Panama Oeste). on Tuesday, February 18.
The raids were part of an international operation called “Luz de la Infancia 6”, which aims to locate material related to the crime of child pornography and links to those responsible.
The operation was carried out simultaneously in Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, and Ecuador, police said in their official Twitter account.
The Publix Ministry reported on information collected on computers, cell phones, USBs, laptops, central processing units, external hard drives, among others, which will be submitted for evaluation.
A similar multi-national operation last year led to the arrest of several men including schoolteachers now serving long prison terms.
