Tocumen International on road to recovery
The State-owned Tocumen International Airport generated revenues of $87.6 million, in the first nine months of the year an increase of $9 million compared to the same period in 2020, but still 29% lower than the 2019 data, when it obtained $124.2 million.
Despite the 29% difference in revenues compared to 2019, the data is better compared to the projections that had been made at the beginning of the year, when it was expected that by the end of 2021 the airport’s numbers will end with a contraction greater than 50%.
At the end of the first half of 2021, the airport’s income was 59% lower than the first half of 2019, but as the months go by, things have improved and everything indicates that by the end of the year they will be between 20% and 25 % below the figures of two years ago.
