Over 60,000 vehicles heading to interior

 

The flow of vehicles toward the interior of Panama increased substantially this year, according to reports from the Traffic Police.

Until 9:00 a.m., Friday, April 7 the movement of 60,174 vehicles into the interior of the country had been registered.

The Traffic Operations Directorate of the National Police reported that this total represents 6,705 more cars than last year when 53,469 vehicles traveled to different provinces.

Both in the Albrook transport terminal and in the docks of the capital there was also a notable presence of travelers.

Public transport inspections were carried out at the Albrook terminal.  Security forces carried out surveillance operations on the country’s highways and Civil Protection personnel (Sinaproc) were on standby at beaches and rivers across the country.
