Panama Pacific Airport reopens for low-cost flights
The Panama Pacific International Airport resumed operations on Thursday, July 28, and will focus primarily on the low-cost airline market segment.
The reopening coincided with the return of the Ecuadorian airline Aeroregional, which will initially offer two weekly frequencies of charter flights, to and from Guayaquil using Boeing 737-400 aircraft with a capacity of 145 passengers.
“The reopening is important in the recovery process of Tocumen SA operations, as an operating company and for national tourism,” said Raffoul Arab, general manager of Tocumen International Airport.
In the coming weeks the return of other low-cost airlines that will operate from Panama Pacifico is expected.
