Panama virus cases climb to 69 with seven critical
Panama Health Minister Rosario Turner reported on Monday, March 16, that the cases of coronavirus in the country have increased to 69 with seven patients in intensive care.
Four others are in wards and 57 are in-home care and will be receiving treatment kits.
There are 35 women and 34 men infected with 56.7% are in the age range of 20 to 39 years. another 29% between 60 and 79 years, 22% between 40 and 59 years and only 4% are under 20 years of age.

Nadja Porcell, National Director of Health, said that there are 12 new cases related to trips to Spain, Amsterdam and the United States.
San Francisco, Juan Díaz, Betania and Ancón, are the distrixts of the capital that have the most cases.
Regarding people who are kept under observation, Turner pointed out that a kit with certain medical devices will be delivered to them from tomorrow. “The most important thing is not the alcoholic gel, the important thing is to wash your hands,” she reiterated.
Porcell said that more than 500 people have been reviewed, in terms of close contacts and indirect contacts.
