Panama’s Exportable Products Exceed $1,157 Million as of September and Grows by 17.2%.

The United States remains among the top destinations for Panamanian exports, along with markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Panama‘s exportable products reached $1,157.8 million between January and September 2026, a growth of 17.2% compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Export Performance Report dated October 29, 2026.

New Figures for Panamanian Exports.

The Minister of Commerce and Industries, Julio Moltó, announced the new figures, prepared by the Office of Commercial Intelligence (INTELCOM) with information from the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC).  Registered exports reached $822.4 million, $67.7 million more than in the same period last year, for a growth of 9%.  Added to that figure are $335.3 million in value-added exports from special regimes, which registered an increase of 43.8%.  “That’s $67.7 million in exports. This translates into more orders and more activity surrounding these operations: transportation, logistics, services, and suppliers that are also part of the export activity,” Moltó noted.

Among the main products that Panama is exporting are frozen shrimp, bananas, palm oil, teak, pharmaceuticals and coffee, a combination that reflects the diversity of the offer that the country is placing in international markets.  The United States remains among the top destinations for Panamanian exports, along with markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.  Moltó also highlighted the growth of exports with higher added value, which show a greater participation of processed products within the supply that Panama takes abroad.  “Selling abroad is important, but so is the fact that we can increasingly offer products with greater value.

This expands business opportunities for our companies and allows us to reach different buyers,” he said.  The MICI has developed business roundtables, trade missions, meetings with buyers and trade facilitation actions to bring Panamanian companies closer to opportunities in international markets.  The growth reported through September maintains a positive trend in the country’s external sales and expands the presence of products made in Panama among international buyers.  The figures correspond to the Export Performance Report as of September 2026, dated October 29, 2026, prepared by INTELCOM with official data from INEC.
