Diesel Prices will Fall From October 2nd to 16th Announces the Ministry of Energy and Gasoline Prices for 95 and 91 Octane will Rise.

Gasoline prices will rise.

The National Energy Secretariat announced that from 6:00 am on Friday, October 2, 2026, until 5:59 am on Friday, October 16, new maximum retail prices for liquid fuels at service stations in the Republic of Panama will be in effect, expressed in cents per liter.

The behavior reflects an upward trend in 95 and 91 octane gasoline, while low-sulfur diesel will show a decrease. The variation per liter compared to the previous period will be +0.040 for 95 octane gasoline, +0.031 for 91 octane gasoline, and -0.019 for low-sulfur diesel.

The agency explained that the increase in gasoline prices is primarily due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have led to higher international prices for crude oil and its derivatives, directly impacting the local cost structure.

The Secretariat reiterated that it maintains constant market monitoring to ensure that prices in Panama reflect only international costs, guaranteeing transparency in the calculation process.

Prices are updated every 14 days through a technical mechanism based on international and logistical variables. “Our priority is to ensure the continuity of supply and protect the country’s energy stability,” the institution stated in its press release issued on September 30 from Panama City.
