Panama City, Panama: The Ministry of Energy announced a new increase in gasoline and low-sulfur diesel prices. These new prices will take effect this Friday, September 18.  According to the official adjustment, 95-octane gasoline will see an increase of 10 cents, bringing its price to 1.38 per liter. Meanwhile, 91-octane gasoline will also rise by 10 cents, reaching 1.29 per liter.   Meanwhile, low-sulfur diesel will see an increase of 13 cents, reaching a price of 1.53 per liter.  Prices vary in various locations around Panama.

In Panama City, the maximum prices per liter were established as follows:

  • 95 octane gasoline: $1.38
  • 91 octane gasoline: $1.29
  • Diesel: $1.53

The new rates will remain in effect until 5:59 am on Friday, October 2, when the next price update will take place.

The variation in fuel costs is largely due to the behavior of the international oil market, where factors such as reduced supply and geopolitical volatility directly influence costs.
