National Police Recover $8,000 Stolen From a Veraguas Credit Union Cooperative.

The National Police reported the recovery of a bag containing $8,000 in cash, belonging to a cooperative or credit union in the province of Veraguas.  According to the institution, the money had been stolen from a cooperative employee as she was on her way to make a bank deposit. The incident occurred on Third Street in Santiago, Veraguas.  Police indicated that, following a timely call from members of the Vigilant Businesses program, units of the Lince Motorized Police began the search and managed to apprehend the alleged perpetrator on the premises of Avenida Sur.  The alleged perpetrator was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to continue with the corresponding process.
