Panama is preparing to become the center of attention for the global coffee industry with the World of Coffee, considered the world’s largest coffee event, which will be held for the first time in Latin America.

The initiative is led by the Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, as part of a strategy to project the country as a global meeting point for producers, entrepreneurs, specialists and coffee lovers. The event organizers seek to leverage the international recognition of Panamanian coffee, especially Geisha, considered one of the most sought-after coffees in the world market, to strengthen Panama’s image on the international stage.
Panamanian Coffee as an Engine for Economic and Cultural Promotion

The Ministry of Culture highlighted that holding the World of Coffee event represents an opportunity to showcase the economic, cultural, and creative value of national coffee. Panama seeks to consolidate its country brand and showcase to the world the potential of its high-quality products, as well as promote new opportunities for sectors linked to tourism, entrepreneurship, gastronomy and the creative economy. The event comes at a strategic moment to boost the country’s international projection and create spaces for connection between local producers and actors in the global coffee industry.
Content Creators will be Allies in Promoting the Event

As part of the preparations, the National Director of Creative Economy of the Ministry of Culture, Miguel Fábrega, led a discussion with content creators and digital opinion leaders. During the meeting, the importance of the World of Coffee was explained, as well as the impact that organizing an international event of this magnitude will have on Panama. The participants, who have digital communities of between 10,000 and 100,000 followers in areas such as wellness, design and entrepreneurship, were invited to become strategic allies to communicate the reach of the event to their respective audiences.
Creative Economy and Digital Communication Boost Panama’s Projection

Authorities emphasized that the participation of these communicators will broaden the reach of the message and connect the event with different audiences. Through content tailored to their digital communities, the creators will help highlight the importance of Panamanian coffee, the innovation in the sector, and the opportunities that the World of Coffee can generate for different areas of the national economy. The arrival of the event reinforces Panama’s commitment to using culture, creativity, and its internationally recognized products as tools to attract visitors, investments, and new business opportunities.
