According to the WTTC Tourism in Panama is Projected to Grow by 8.4% in 2026
The World Travel & Tourism Council projects that Panama will be among the most dynamic markets in the region. Between January and April, the country received 1.28 million visitors and generated $2.6366 billion in foreign exchange.
Tourism is one of the sectors with the greatest economic potential in Panama this year. The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) estimates that this sector will grow at a rate of 8.4% this year in Panama, placing the country among the most dynamic regions in Central America and the Caribbean.

These estimates align with the performance of tourism activity in the first months of the year. Between January and April of this year, the country received more than 1.28 million international visitors, representing a 16.4% increase compared to the same period in 2015, when 1.10 million people entered the country.
