The New President of the National Assembly is Shirley Castañedas

This Wednesday, July 1st, the third annual period of ordinary sessions of the National Assembly for the period 2026-2027 was installed.  A delegation has been appointed to inform President José Raúl Mulino that the National Assembly has been formally installed. The delegation will be headed by Orlando Carrasquilla, a member of parliament from the Democratic Change party.

Shirley Castañedas was elected as the new president of the National Assembly.
