A Panamanian Delegation is Received by Venezuela’s Interim President Delcy Rodríguez
Members of the Venezuelan government welcomed the Panamanians. Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez met with the rescue team sent by the Panamanian government.
The Republic of Panama mobilized 61 rescuers and tons of humanitarian aid to Venezuela following the powerful earthquakes that struck the South American country. The delegation was received in Caracas by acting president Delcy Rodríguez, who expressed her gratitude for the support received from the Panamanians.
Welcome in Venezuela

From the very night the earthquakes struck, Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino offered his assistance to the neighboring country. The first group of rescuers traveled last Friday, and the rest of the team arrived on Saturday. They will initially remain in Venezuela for seven days, with the possibility of extending their stay depending on the needs of the affected area. In addition, President Mulino ordered the preparation of a second contingent in case circumstances require it, and sent a message of encouragement to the rescuers already in Venezuelan territory.
Active Solidarity
The Office of the First Lady, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, activated a collection center in Omar Park in Panama City. The public response exceeded all expectations, and in less than 48 hours, the facilities reached full capacity, demonstrating the solidarity of the Panamanian people in the face of tragedies beyond their borders. All the collected items were packaged and transferred to the Humanitarian Warehouse located at the Panama Pacific Airport, from where they will be transported to Venezuela.
