What To Do With Your Christmas Tree? Discover the 2026 Collection Points

The Municipality of Panama announced that, from January 7 to 11, 2026, collection points will be set up for the collection of saplings. The Mayor’s Office reminded everyone that burning trees is prohibited by Mayoral Decree No. 001-2018, dated January 11, 2018.

The Municipality of Panama announced that, from January 7 to 11, 2026, various collection points for Christmas trees will be available in different sectors of the Capital District.  According to the official statement, the reception points will be:

– Calidonia Coastal Strip

-Atlapa in San Francisco

-Leafsync at Multiplaza

-USMA in Bethany

-Roberto Durán Arena in Juan Díaz

-Panama Compost of Rio Abajo

-Don Bosco Community Board

-Las Cumbres Community Board

-Princess of Wales Square in North Panama

-My Environment headquarters in Albrook

The Mayor’s Office reminded everyone that burning trees is prohibited by Mayoral Decree No. 001-2018, dated January 11, 2018, because the smoke from incineration is polluting and pine trees are classified as “flammable material”.
