Panama’s Ceylin Muñoz Vera the Queen of Calle Abajo in Pedasí began her Activities Leading up to Carnival 2026

The queen of Calle Abajo in Pedasí 2026, Ceylin Isabel Muñoz Vera, is preparing for the first official events of her reign, combining carnival tradition with a close communication strategy through social media.  At 21, Ceylin represents the new generation of sovereigns who understand the importance of keeping cultural legacy alive while also connecting with young audiences through digital platforms. The new queen has begun sharing her preparations, rehearsals, and messages with her followers, generating anticipation for the 2026 celebration.

The program kicked off this weekend in Pedasí with a caravan, a tuna parade, and the official presentation of the Royal Court. It will continue on September 13 with a cultural evening in Panama City, featuring former queens and invited figures.  Ceylin says her greatest hope is for her reign to transcend. “I want it to be remembered not just for the crown and the celebrations, but for the love, respect, and unity we can strengthen as a community.”  With deep roots in the Pedasieño tradition, descended from the Vera family and a member of the Castillo family, and a fresh style that shines through on her social media, Ceylin is emerging as a queen who combines heritage, youth, and modernity in every step of her preparation.
