Taxpayers in Panama must Update their Registration with the DGI Before August 31st or Face Fines up to $500

The DGI requires updating your RUC (Tax Identification Number) before August 31st through e-Tax 2.0. Incomplete or incorrect information could result in fines between $100 and $500.

The General Directorate of Revenue (DGI) announced that individuals and legal entities must update their information in the Single Taxpayer Registry (RUC) pursuant to Resolution No. 201-4488 of June 4, 2025.  Taxpayers must complete the process through the e-Tax 2.0 platform, correctly filling out all the requested fields.  The deadline to complete this procedure is August 31, 2025, and you can complete it online or, if you have any questions, visit the DGI offices such as pictured below.
