Panama’s President Mulino Announced that He will Present an “Urgent” Economic Recovery Plan
The president indicated that the current administration will allocate public funds to rescue the country.

During the inauguration of the Aristocles “Toco” Castillo soccer stadium in the city of Santiago, Veraguas, Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino announced that he will soon announce an urgent economic reactivation plan for the country. “We are making a tremendous effort to find public funds to rescue the country. It is not easy, but we are doing it with great honor and, above all, with great sacrifice on the part of the government,” said the president. Mulino handed over the stadium below after an investment of more than $10 million, in which he said that it had been abandoned for seven years, and that a rescue process was carried out to give the population a coliseum with capacity for more than 2,700 people. In the case of the Aristocles “Toco” Castillo stadium, the work began at a cost of $4.8 million and ended at a cost of $10.9 million.

“There was a stadium and a half more to be able to bring sports to the different provinces,” said Mulino, affirming that those responsible for damages like this will have to face the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The Aristocles “Toco” Castillo Coliseum has the capacity to receive more than 2,700 people, 80 parking spaces, a field with FIFA specifications (105X68), 17 kiosks for food and drink concessions, an area for people with disabilities, two screens and interactive LED lights. “This week we will go to Colón to remove the chains from the Roberto Mariano Bula stadium, another stadium that cost a fortune to rescue, a project that was supposed to cost $15 million ended up costing $30 million. But, those responsible will be dealt with by the Public Ministry,” warned the president.
