The Paris Olympic Games Open Friday – 8 Panama Athletes Attending

The Paris Olympic Games open this Friday and will take place in iconic venues such as Roland Garros, the Stade de France and the Eiffel Tower.  More than 15,000 athletes from 204 countries will participate in this edition of the Olympic Games. From Panama:  Gianna Woodruff (athletics), Hillary Heron (gymnastics), Franklin Archibold (cycling), Emily Santos (swimming), Tyler Christianson (swimming), Atheyna Bylon (boxing), Kristine Jiménez (judo) and Arturo Deliser (athletics) are the eight athletes who will represent Panama at the 2024 Olympic Games.  In honor of Panama’s upcoming participation, a farewell cocktail was held at the Residence of France in Panama City.  The event was organized by the French Embassy, ​​in conjunction with the Olympic Committee of Panama, and was attended by national authorities and special guests.  During the event, the motto of the Olympic values: friendship, respect and excellence was recalled, and the importance of promoting sport in the country was highlighted.
