OPINION: Political suicide! PRD names current mayor for re-election
Stumbling over the same stone can be careless, but hitting the same wall twice head-on can only be blind. And the blindness of the PRD is evident when everything indicates that he will run for the position of mayor of Panama City with its worst proposal, not only because he has failed everything, but because he has set the mayoralty back decades. The current head of the capital’s commune is, by far, the worst mayor this city has had in decades, but the PRD finds nothing better than to launch him for re-election. The PRD could literally nominate anyone; It wouldn’t even be necessary to have four brains, it would be enough if there were two because that’s how bad the current mayor is. His management is the exact description of failure, ineptitude, laziness, and nonsense. And even so, does the PRD want us to re-elect him? Is it that the leadership of this party is thinking about political suicide or has it moved to live in the bubble where the president has resided since the beginning of his government?
