Ministers head to Chiriqui after threats of highway closures
A government delegation made up of the Ministers of Public Works and Government traveled to the Ngabe Buglé region on Monday to talk with indigenous leaders after the announcement of indefinite closures of the Inter-America Highway at five points,
“Four years of Nito Cortizo, commission after commission and they have not resolved anything, we continue without drinking water, without food in the schools for the children, there are schools in the region that do not have a floor, there is no health” one of the leaders expressed to the government ministers.
Units of the National Police are at the point of the demonstration, while the authorities meet with indigenous leaders in Hato Corotú.
