27 Influenza deaths – all unvaccinated
The number of deaths from influenza in Panama so far this year has climbed to 27 reports the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, pointing out that everything indicates that the virus seemed to be more aggressive, however, he stressed that none of the victims of this disease had been vaccinated.
Of the 27 deceased, 4 are minors of 4, 8, 10, and 11 years old. He took the opportunity to reiterate to the population the availability of all the vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) and urged them to come to be immunized.
Meanwhile, regarding the Covid cases, the minister indicated that progress has been made and that the percentage of positivity is currently 7% throughout the country.
