Fetanyl scandal prompts call for resignation
We still do not know what happened to the 19,000 vials of fentanyl that “disappeared” -in the words of the director himself- and now we find out that another medicine, used to combat pain, is no longer in the Social Security Fund (CSS). This institution is run so negligently that it is a miracle that it continues to provide any type of medical care or administrative service. Once again, it is obligatory to demand that the director of the CSS leave the institution, that he resign once and for all, because so much dishevelment is unforgivable, and even more so that he believes that everything is fine and that he does not have to account for what he has done or doesn’t do in the CSS. To this we have to add that the financial problems of the institution’s programs are still there, getting worse, without anyone intervening, not even the members of the board of directors, that should watch over the insured, but they behave like politicians who want to share a cake and cover up -as if that were possible- the serious situation that is accumulating in the institution. If this guy continues to lead the CSS, let’s not expect anything good. Everything indicates that these matters will worsen. LA PRENSA, May. 26.
