Police called to street party faced hail of bottles
National Police crowd control units called to disperse a clandestine street party attended by 400 people on the weekend were greeted with a hail of bottles and detonators.
A similar call in Arraiján earlier in the week led to an injury to one police officer.
There has been a proliferation of clandestine parties in recent weeks known locally as a “parking” which have caught the attention of Security Minister Juan Manuel Pino.
Deputy Commissioner Roberto Rodríguez, head of the 8th. West Metro Police Zone, said that the party people were consuming alcoholic beverages and possibly illegal substances.
