65% of accused in red devils scam walk free

 

A recent ruling that favored 337 people, most of whom had been investigated in a case of embezzlement, reveals the failure of justice in Panama. These are the compensations that the State paid to hundreds of bus owners, but many resulted in the alleged fraud, in which the victim, as always, is the Panamanian State. A court declared criminal action against 63% of the accused and less than 200 will be finally prosecuted, out of a total of 535 accused. In other words, if there are thieves in the group favored by the statute of limitations, they will not receive any penalty, because the time to call them to trial has run out. And is that the law is made to, precisely, have these advantages and tells us, at the same time, that more personnel, more budget, more technology, more specialists are needed; It tells us that the codes and laws must be reformed so that impunity no longer reigns, because so many thieves can no longer be tolerated, and not only within the Government but also outside of it.
