Latin American Stock Exchange sets new trading record
The Latin American Stock Exchange (Latinex) closed 2021 with a trading volume of $9.461 billion an increase of $1.335 billion or 16.4% over the previous year.
The increase in trading volume occurred mainly in the primary market, with $6.945 billion, 22.4% more than last year, while the secondary market closed with an increase of $246 million or 11.9 %.
The trading volume data represents a historical record and far exceeds the previous record, which had been marked in 2019 with $8.527.4 billion.
