Stay of 122 Cuban doctors extended
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) has extended the stay of 122 Cuban doctors for two months. They were part of a larger group brought in at the start of the pandemic.
According to the ministry, it is an addendum to the agreement on “Cooperation for Health Emergency Response” signed between the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba and the Minsa.
It stressed that the temporary stay of this group was specified upon request of medical directors of various health institutions and after a consultation with specialized medical societies in the country, regarding “the immediate availability of national human resources.”
