Covid-19, more questions than answers
The situation in the country is not only worrying because of the high number of infections that are reported daily, but because there are components that aggravate the situation. The Ministry of Health (Minsa), for example, has the virtue of leaving more questions than answers at its press conferences. The contradictions between what is communicated verbally and what is written in legal bodies are notorious. Then the question remains: what to believe? What are the Minsa spokesmen saying or the resolutions that contain what they supposedly communicated? When clarification is required, then officials open a more fearsome door: discretion. And then, between the discretion to enforce regulations and ineffective communication, chaos enters. So we have a part of the population without many options, as they must earn a living. But they are faced with an unforeseen reality: large crowds at bus and metro stops. However, they are left with nothing but risk, despite the fear of being arrested or fined because of the curfew. In the end, far from solving the problem, Minsa himself creates it. Here is the dilemma. Meanwhile, cases continue to increase. LA PRENSA, Dec. 22
