11 die as home swept away by raging river
Carlos Rumbo Director of Panama’s Civil Protection Service (Sinaproc) confirmed the deaths of a family of eleven including nine children after their home was washed away by the current of the overflowing Bejuco River, on Sunday, July 9 in the north of the province of Veraguas.
The bodies of 10 people were recovered, and a search is underway for the body of a child under four years of age,
