11,183 COVID  cases, 310 deaths

 

On Monday May 25 Panama reached  two new milestones  Monday since the first  case of coronavirus was detected on March 9, with 11,000  total cases and 310 deaths from the disease.

The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) reported on Monday four  more deaths and 257 new cases bringing the total  of confirmed infections  to 11,183

There are 348 hospitalized patients , 281 in the ward and 67 in intensive care units throughout the country, and 4,246 people in home isolation, of whom 582 are in hotels that provisionally function as hospitals.

Deaths according to age range continue to be concentrated in people who are over 60 years of age (223).
