Surfboard “canvases” raising funds for autistic children
A group of works by Panamanian painters using surfboards as canvases will be auctioned on June 25 with proceeds going to the Autism Wave Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping autistic children.
The project took several weeks to complete, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it had to be postponed. Initially, it was scheduled for April 14 at the Ministry of Culture.
Paola Castrejón, president of Autism Wave, said that the idea came from Vanessa De La Guardia, an artist who helped to contact other painters and launch the initiative.
