Panama’s unique pandemic dry law under review

Panama’s infamous “dry law” imposed in March as part of the fight against the COVID-19  pandemic, and unique on the American continent could be gradually suspended, “depending on the results of the anti-virus program said   Health Minister Rosario Turner on Tuesday, May 5 while describing social media reports of an immediate lifting of the ban on liquor sales as fake news.

“We have not repealed any dry law decree, but we are evaluating this week to take a gradual measure on the sale of liquor,” said Turner,

“If we continue to see results, this week we will evaluate the decision,” Turner said.
