Health benefits continue for covid-19 says insurance provider
The insurance company ASSA announced on Saturday, March 14, that it will continue to provide benefits for medical expenses and hospitalization for treatment to COVID-19.
“We have instructed in writing all the hospitals and private clinics in our network to continue providing medical expenses services uninterruptedly to our policyholders in accordance with the applicable coverage and the protocols established by the Ministry of Health (Minsa),” said a company statement.
Many health policies do not include coverage in the event that illness is declared a pandemic, as has been the case with COVID-19 so, the ASSA announcement has been received positively on social networks reports TVN.
The company recommends following the recommendations of the Health authorities to prevent the virus, such as frequent hand washing, and covering up when coughing and sneezing.
