Panama security  leaders discuss coronavirus strategy

Leaders of Panama’s security authorities on Sunday, March 1  met with,   Juan Manuel Pino Minister of Public Security and , Juan Deputy Minister  Ivor Pitti, to review the plans and strategies to synchronize efforts safely in coordination with the Ministry of Health (Minsa), in anticipation of the threat of Coronavirus.

They will  support  Minsa  and ensure that the sanitary measures established by the health authorities, and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), which include controls to prevent and  confront the threat

The directors of the security agencies, Oriel Ortega of the National Border Service (Senafront), Jorge Miranda of the National Police and Ramón Nonato López of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan), were present at the working meeting.

Members of security agencies have recently participated in seminars given by experts from the Ministry of Health on how to be prepared and how to respond to the new Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, both in preventive measures and in the event of positive cases.
